21-22.01.2012 - Noelanders Trophy XIII
During the weekend of January 21 -22, 2012, we organize the thirteenth Noelanders Trophy. It will take place at the Centrum voor Duurzaam Bouwen, Marktplein 1 in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium.
Dozens of top bonsai from all over Europe will be exhibited. We welcome participants from Spain to Denmark and from the Czech Republic to the United Kingdom.
Participation in this international exhibition and contest is free and open for everyone. Registration of a bonsai or kifu can be done by completing the registration form on line and mail the pictures of the bonsai to the secretary. The committee will make a first selection based on the accompanying pictures. We will keep you informed if your trees are selected or not at the beginning of December.
The jury consisting of all demonstrators and Marc Noelanders will select the five most beautiful bonsai. The winner receives the ‘Noelanders Trophy XIII’, an original sculpture designed by Jos Jacobs. The top five bonsai receive an honourable mention, as well as the best tree of a member of BAB.
Kifu (21 – 35 cm) will be shown in a separate exhibition and the best wins a special trophy.
On Saturday and Sunday afternoon we present you a simultaneous demonstration by international bonsai masters: William Valavanis and Ryan Neil from the US, Mauro Stemberger from Italy, Vaclav Novak from the Czech Republic and Jorge Campos from Spain.
More than thirty traders from all over Europe are invited for the largest bonsai market in Europe. You can find anything for your hobby. Bonsai Association Belgium is grateful to all traders for their yearly support.
While it is still wintertime, start your bonsai year the right way by meeting other enthusiasts in the warm environment of an old mine building. Good food, excellent coffee or a Belgian beer and your weekend will be something to remember.
